Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu Peace Mantra

May all the beings in all the worlds be happy!

Now that we’ve taken some time to get cozy with the sound of the simple practice and settle into our intention, we’ll take the next few days to learn the main mantra for our medium (and extended) variations of the practice.*

If you're new to mantra, just listen a few times and try to form the sounds in your mouth.

Lokāḥ Samastāḥ Sukhino Bhavantu

Are you ready for some nerdy, thrilling Sanskrit fun?
If you're inspired to learn the precise letter-by-letter Sanskrit pronunciation, then sign up for our FREE Online Global Chant Circle course. In lessons 3 and 4, Anandra teaches you the mantra, sound by sound, and then chants the whole mantra for you. In lesson 6, you can even learn how to play this chant on harmonium.

*NOTE: You're welcome to stick with the simple practice. (Honestly, the more you learn about mantra, the more the simple practices can be the most effective and "advanced!") After a few days, we'll get back into the deep, subtle aspects of the mantras for peace practice, which you can apply to whichever version of the practice you've chosen to engage for the 108 days.

Practice Tip:

If all of this is new for you, don’t worry about the exact pronunciation for now. You can come back to this info later, when you feel inspired to refine your mouth positions and sound production. While you're in the process of learning the mantra, the intention of your heart will overcome any small errors in sound production!
